C3 Projects Under Construction

A project becomes a C3 Project when the owner recognizes the importance of financial security, health and well being, safety and craft industry training standards for the commercial construction industry and they include these principles in  the Contract Documents.




West Houston

The project is a new 170,000 sf facility in the Energy Corridor that will consolidate the cancer research and treatment for hospital's west Houston operations.

Museum of Fine Arts - Houston Expansion

McCarthy is the Construction Manager providing preconstruction and construction services for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Campus Expansion. Phase I of the project includes the demolition and construction of a new 3-story, 80,000-sf Glassell School of Art and 290-car, 2 level below grade parking structure.

​Phase II of the Campus Expansion includes the construction of a new Exhibition Hall which consists of a 300-car, 2-level below grade parking structure and 125,000 –sf museum. Also included in the project are renovations and an expansion to the existing Cullen Sculpture Garden, a new Central Utility Plant, and two tunnels; one connecting the Glassell School and the Exhibition Hall, and the other connecting the Exhibition Hall to the existing Law Museum. 



Zayed, Phases 2b, 2c & 3 
The project consists of two stages. Phase 2b will consist of completing the build-out of floors 8-12 of the West office and lab towers as well as finishing the construction of the 5th floor of the East office and lab towers, approximately 156,500 gross square feet (gsf). It will also include construction of a conference center on the 2nd floor, approximately 15,000 gsf. Phase 2c will consist of completing floors 6, 7 and 8 of the East towers, approximately 64,500 gsf. Phase 3 will consist of the build-out of floors 9-12 of the East towers, approximately 86,000 gsf.

This is a 4,844 sf Chapel Addition and Church Renovation project in Dickinson, Texas.

Alkek Finish-out Floors 20, 21 and 22 
Owner: The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
General Contractor: Linbeck Group, LLC
​Full finish-out of floors 20, 21 and 22 to include installation of distribution systems for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and information technology services. This project will finish-out three floors previously left as shell space in the inpatient tower of the Albert B. and Margaret M. Alkek Hospital. The addition of 144 inpatient beds over the next few years will meet the projected increase for demand and the need to remove certain inpatient rooms from service for planned upgrades.

St. Mary's Seminary, HVAC Systems Modifications
This project is the reconstruction of the existing HVAC system with a new chiller and boiler unit.

The Woodlands Campus
​TCH The Woodlands Campus is a 548,000 SF, State-of-the-art facility that will offer specialty pediatric care in areas that include cancer, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, diabetes and endocrinology, urology, sports medicine, gastroenterology and nutrition, plastic surgery, otolaryngology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, adolescent medicine and physical rehabilitation.

LeMaistre Clinic MRI 
​The current outpatient Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) suite located in the Charles A. LeMaistre Clinic, was constructed in 1996, and the MRI units are in need of replacement. The proposed suite will be fully renovated to accommodate new MRI units with magnets rated at 3 Teslas and the flexibility to add a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) overlay ring to each magnet in the future. The MRI units will be purchased outside of this project. Due to changes in shielding and cooling requirements for new MRI units, the renovation will require demolition of the existing suite and upgrades to the mechanical, electrical, information technology, and plumbing systems that serve this area, as well as reinforcement of the structure.
